About Me

I’m Nia. I’m a qualified and experienced therapist and I’m deeply committed to the work I do.

I believe there is always a story. Always. The way we think, feel, and behave didn’t come from nowhere — it came from thousands of messages we received from family, school, friends, society, culture, religion.

Most of us are completely unaware of these messages until we sit down and actually try to unpick them.

That’s where the real work happens.

Not in learning coping strategies or reframing thoughts, but in bringing those unconscious scripts into awareness so we can finally see the profound impact those messages have had on our lives.

Most people don’t think they “qualify” as having experienced trauma because it wasn’t a single catastrophic event. But trauma is also the quieter stuff — the emotional unavailability, the messages you internalised, the relationships that taught you you weren’t enough. I’ll help you see that your story matters.

I’m not a blank slate nodding along sympathetically from across the room.  I’m right there in it with you, naming what I notice, bringing theory into the session when it helps something land, and never pretending the room exists outside the oppressive systems you’re navigating.

I very much believe in the two-way nature of the therapeutic relationship, and you will feel that immediately.

What makes me distinct is how I use Transactional Analysis — the style of therapy I trained in. I’ve seen time and time again how my approach genuinely shifts something for people. I love the moment when a client’s face changes because suddenly the mess makes sense.
