I’m Nia and I’m a counsellor based in North Wales.
Before training as a counsellor I spent 12 years working for charities and NGOs. This taught me a lot about people and how we face different kinds of adversity.
My training is in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I have worked mainly in workplace and university settings. I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), am a Mental Health First Aider and am trained in supporting people in the aftermath of a critical incident at work.
My style takes a modern approach, based on rigorous training at the Metanoia Institute in London. In practice this means we talk about how you are in the world right now, and what old, unhelpful patterns from the past might be finding their way into your life. We can then work on where you want to be and how to get there.
